India’s NCR to Add 29 CNG Filling Stations by July 2012

In India’s parliament the Rajya Sahba (Upper House) has been informed by the Petroleum Minister, Mr S. Jaipal Reddy, that there are 29 new compressed natural gas (CNG) filling stations located in the National Capital Region (NCR) that will commence operation by July 2012, reports The Hindu Business Line. The stations are awaiting ‘certificates of no objection’ (NOC) from the Petroleum and Explosive Safety Organisation. The report adds that Indraprastha Gas Ltd (IGL) currently operates 241 CNG stations in Delhi and NCR.
