Tata Thailand Launches CNG Truck and Bus

CNG-powered Tata Novus Tractor

Tata Motors Thailand is publicly launching its new compressed natural gas (CNG) powered Tata Novus tractor-trailer and Tata Starbus CNG bus at Thailand’s Bus Truck 2011 event held at the Bitec center, Bangna during December 15-17, 2011. The European standards-compliant Novus CNG model with 6-cylinder Doosan engine and turbo intercooler produces a maximum output of 340 hp at 2,100 rpm and maximum torque of 1,372 Nm at 1,260 rpm. It comes with 8 large CNG tanks able to hold 1,312 liters. India’s Tata Motors entered the market in Thailand in 2008.
