Sitcar Urban City Tour bus, CNG-powered

Cesena, a city and comune in the Emilia-Romagna region of northern Italy, has purchased eight new natural gas powered buses that are to join the city’s public transport fleet. Sitcar’s 7.75 meter Urban City Tour bus has been chosen, in part because they are manufactured in nearby Modena, but also because natural gas-fueled engines have become more and more efficient even from an environmental perspective. The buses have been painted pink to clearly identify the service that moves around 12,000 passengers per month. The city says the buses are ideally suited for moving people through the historic centre of town, where maneuverability and low emissions are important factors.
