China’s Anhui Province, in the east of the country, has finished compiling its Development Program of Natural Gas Filling Stations as part of its 12th Five-Year Plan, reports Eobus. According to the Program, 172 natural gas filling stations will be added in Anhui, 19 of which will be in Hefei, the province’s capital city. 286 natural gas filling stations are expected to be established in Anhui by 2015. The stations will be built along busy expressways and intercity roads. Currently, as the pilot project, the natural gas has been used as the fuel by passenger buses of “Hefei-Fuyang” line in Anhui, the report stated. Anhui province is also a natural gas producer.
