IBP Offers Workshop on Natural Gas for Vehicles in Brazil

Rio de Janeiro, August 2 – August 5, 2011

In Brazil, IBP (Instituto Brasileiro de Petróleo, Gás e Biocombustíveis) is preparing its annual workshop course on Natural Gas for Vehicles. The goal of the event is to disseminate information and knowledge about the nature, applications, transportation, supply, processes, technologies, risks, safety, technical standards, regulations, markets, and business opportunities related to naturWoral gas vehicles.

The course is intended for all agencies, companies and persons interested to learn more about the technical and business aspects of owning and operating a natural gas vehicle. Topics in the broad technical program include:

  • Introduction to Automotive Fuels (R. Fernandes / Coordinator)
  • Natural Gas Services – Availability, Transport, Distribution (Valeria Fatima)
  • Supply of CNG vehicles (Carlos Gouvea)
  • Supply Equipment for CNG (Gustavo Galiazzi)

  • Storage of natural gas in vehicles (Eros Santos)
