The National Gas Company of Trinidad and Tobago (NGC) issued a Notice of Public Tender in late May, requesting proposals (RFPs) for the provision of leased OEM compressed natural gas (CNG)-fuelled vehicles for a four-year period. Requests for Proposal are sought for the following items:

  • 125 pick-up trucks, 4×4 automatic transmission
  • 40 sedans, automatic transmission
  • 10 station wagons, automatic transmission

The initiative follows the Government of Trinidad’s announced raft of incentives to accelerate CNG as a major transportation fuel earlier this year, aimed at diversifying the country’s transportation fuel mix and reducing the petroleum subsidy bill earlier this year. NGC is wholly owned by the Government of Trinidad and Tobago. Details of the tender are available here.
